There was a silence
That begged to be understood
Over an unbreakable fence
where she, alone stood.
Things were forbidden to speak of,
Or to even remember
turned the fierce heart soft n weak
for her beloved daughter.
There was a force
acting upon her shoulder
To prevent things even worse,
she pushed herself to be bolder.
Her fake smiles & her passion
hid the pain in her eyes,
An overflowing compassion
overtook the sighs.
Kind & beautiful,
Concerned & worried
But awfully dutiful
Not to repeat the guilt buried.
Her child was the sun
that always shone in her clouds,
Made her laugh, made her run
And shout out loud!
